Stoves American Fridge Freezer Problem

I have a Stoves american Fridge Freezer and now that I have plumbed it in the water dispenser seems to have a problem. When the switch is released the water continues to flow for 10+ seconds. Very frustrating and messy!! Can anyone suggest where the problem may lie. Thanks Trevor.

Possibly the water solenoid/valve isnt closing straight away,its at the rear near where you connect the water.
