Qualitaire Heat Pump

Hello,

Hope someone can help.

This is a wiring diagram from a split system heat pump Qualitaire. The unit Model No etc has worn so unfortunately I am unable to provide this information.

At present the unit is wired to cool only (connection C). The customer now wants to have it for heating also.

The unit is connected to an Eberle controller, which has the facility to provide 240volts to the reversing valve (connection RV). Do i need to provide a permanent 240 volt to the connection H for the defrost activation.

Could it be that the terminal thought to be 'R' is actually 'H'.
