Supaheat: 26degs,
Evap: -11degs.
Condens: 48degs.
Compressor: 126degs (thats our GT6 sensor when it alarmed).
GT10: 12degs (ground loop in).
GT11: 7.5degs (ground loop out).
Heavy frosting on expansion valve, which would defrost in my hand but after about a minute. Would expect a much quicker response.
No subcooling temps.

the gas is 407c

Hi Thanks install monkey! Can you explain why its the TEV and not an undercharge?

Evap: -3degs.
Condens: 52degs.
Compressor: 110degs.
No frosting on expansion valve.

what pressures should we be looking at?
the system has been running fine for 12 months prier to this.

have you checked your liquid line sight glass?
how does you liquid line drier feel?
15k still is a wide superheat.
restriction
or short of gas

Hi Cold Man thanks :)
I suggested that it might be short of gas, but he did not check the sight glass yet
Can you explain how u would tell the difference between whether it was the tev or undercharge?
I know that the system has all been sized properly, and has been running fine for nearly a year
The frosting and the high compressor reading made me think its not getting enough gas but I don't know what the different symptoms would be for whether its a tev restriction or undercharge. I don't think the tev was set wrong but I know they can sometimes need adjustment - but would that be after a year?

Dont know if am making sense now as it the middle of the night
