Hi IM

The Panasonic Urban range is badged Daikin. Does the controller look like a Daikin ?

yep its matsu****a, when daikin/panasonic bits were compatable, any ideas on the comparable daikin model, non inverter heatpump, 250 capacity(25kw)

Just had a look in my cd files but I'm only showing the RP250 and the later RZQ250 on 410a.

I'll have a look in the office info in the morning but I've got a feeling that the RY & RR version was only issued in printed form - not in pdf.

I've found the manual but it's not in pdf. Doesn't really tell you a lot about the operation of it though, it's more a technical data book - see attached page

thats the beastie frank, the wiring diagram dictates that power for the condenser fans comes off the outgoing side of the contactor, providing 240v to the cond fan plugs via 2 pcb relays, these have been replaced to try and solve the issues, but to no avail, surely the condenser fan pcb relays are controlled of the cond coil sensor or the ambient air sensor so as i cannot interrogate furthur then plan B- there is a way of bypassing the relay so 1 fan operates as soon as the compressor starts, this is gonna be done on monday

Dear Monkey
Taking it upon one's self to bypass safety devices for one's pleasure is not advised!!:p
Simply write it off and supply a replacement at an inflated price like the rest of us.;)
But steer clear of ali pipe unless you know someone with the inside track:rolleyes:

Best wishes

Stu

stu- but bypassing the ryf relay i am ensuring that when the comp starts a cond fan starts too,the safety devices are all in tact, the fan plug only has 1 speed so all will be ok, pressure switches, discharge temp, comp overload, fan thermistors,as well as phase protection would still be operational

Glad to hear it monkey
Carry on so.
Just checking.
