a while ago there were reports of a refrigerant shortage, well i think it was a scare story because i spoke to a friend in the refrigerant industry who says there is too much and its just profiteering.

it is as we speak they overpriced the gases in the summer so they are now leveling out a bit unless its reclaim 22 i believe gold is cheaper at the moment than r22 we also swapped suppliers in the summer dealt with them since 2003 but they took the micky a bit so we swapped now they are tripping over themselves to get back in i needed some r23 and 89 the other day it should of come on the back of a brinks matt truck

R125 which is a component of R404a, R507, R410a and many other popular refrigerants is in short supply for various reasons - this means the price of these refrigerants is increasing due to demand.
