Just wondering what should be considered the maximum temp on the top of the scroll running 410A. Pick an discharge pressure of 28bar, for example.

Exactly the same as for any other compressor, somewhere in the range of 120°C

I know a lot of manufacturers (of systems, not compressors), that have a thermistor measuring there, set cut out to ~115°C

That's good, I put the IR gun on it and it was 60C but I was just curious.

That's probably too cold.

Yeah, 60C is a bit weird for 28bar. Hermetic recips normally run at 70C+ at lower pressures, rotaries and scrolls 80C+ at those pressures

I will have to check it when I can get back in to the site. It was a quick check and I didn't look at anything else as it seemed to be pulling down well. It was off for a few hours while I did some electrical work and I had turned it on 5 min before.
