Hi all, does anyone have any experience of Panasonic's heat pumps?

I had a visit from their rep recently and they are claiming 1 of their models the T-Cap has no loss of output down to minus 15.

He wasn't sure how they did this though! They also claim to maintain COP's at circa 2.4 at -15 and 35 degrees flow.

Cheers

Jon

about the pansonic heat pump, first thing ,you shall be consider the compressor,
because the pansonic compressor just fit the Asian country, which the winter temperature is not very low.
compare to Euroep country.

Fact is that T Cap model keep the compressor output down to -15C. This is solved by an additional EEV and sub cooler, sub-cooling principle.
It seems an excellent product.
Post me your email than I send you an internal scheme.

those claims are based on water temp from 30deg to 35deg out, u need 50deg for underfloor heating so ur immersion elements are gonna be on so ur total energy usage is gonna go through the roof

40C for many underfloors, Install. 35C in a good low energy house.

immersion elements are the work of the devil-a pain to change as they weld themselves to the cylinder boss and something so small consumes so much leccy! they're evil!!!

Anyone running ufh at 50C is going to need feet like a coal walking monk. No one runs ufh at fifty. Mostly between 25 and 35C depending on the weather. 40C if the installation is crap
