I saw an advert for Panasonic rotary comps and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a rotary in a heat pump?

Mitsubishi have been using various forms of rotary in small heatpump splits for years and also co2 variations .Here's a link to some info on single and two stage incarnations.

Thanks Stu, looks like the biggest they make is 3kw input then they want multiple comps. They talk mostly about using them with CO2 and I am more interested in 410A (at least for now).

Anyone have info about the longevity of the rotary vs scroll in the same application, ie heat pumps? I know someone who won't use the rotaries for that reason. It SEEMS to me that the units that last have scrolls but that is just an impression.
