newbie advice needed

hello all

im after some advice, im 28 years old and last year i had enough of the job i was doing and put myself through college with business edge in Portsmouth, i paid a fair wack for this course and came out so called fully qualified with construction skills, i completed the following modules

Introduction to Air-Conditioning and refrigeration
Installation, commissioning and service engineering
Essential electrics
Pipe work and brazing competency (commercial)
Pipe work and brazing competency (industrial)
F-gas training, assessment and qualification

since completing the course ive tried to get work in Air-Conditioning or refrigeration to find that nobody will give me a job without having min 3-5 years experience

now i know experience is a very important key to any employer but in 1 stint i applied for over a 100+ jobs online with willing to relocate as far up as Manchester and working on a lower trainee wage and even lately offering to work for free to start with to prove myself as no time waster and being a worthy employee, but still i can seem to break into this field of work, there seems to be plenty of jobs around (although mainly around London) but i just cant get nobody to give me a chance to get on the ladder

can anyone suggest on how i can do this or even know of anyone looking for a trainee/volunteer around the Bristol area or up to a hrs travel or am i simply just not going to get anywhere?

any help would be great as im all out of ideas now to be honest

by your post, it appears to me you are very willing to be flexible to get a foot on the ladder and make the presumption, its your 'CV' that is the issue, not you

will email you in five, and if you send me your CV, without all your personal details on it

I will edit it for you and return it hopefully better formatted to what an employer is looking for

do several a year for others and normally has the desired result

try facilities management or building maint firms for yr foot in the door mitie in bristol or space as they breaking into it now big time

a little tip do some research into the companys yr applying to if you get interview or even talk on phone it helps to know about wot they actually do and where they do it :)

Exactly what i would be putting in the ring first pile, can't stand getting people's life story on 2 closely typed A4 pages.

One thing you could do is apply for maintenance jobs with the bigger suppermarket
contractors (Space for example are based in Bristol).

If you can get a job with one of these companies doing maintenance and case cleaning
there is always the possibility of moving over to the service side or install.

I have a copy of the RAC engineers, Contractors handbook 2012 and it lists all the companies
that are involved in AC and refrig.

If you PM your address I will pop it in the post to you or if you visit your local wholesaler they
will have them on the counter (there are a few in Bristol).
