Hi,
I've bought Daikin FTKS20D3VMW/RKS20E2V1B from ebay. The seller sell it as heat pump, but I found that heat pump is FTXS20VMW/RXS20E2V1B. I find it after 2 months, so I can't send it back. I decide to try to enable heat option. When read service manual I find that outdoor unit have four way valve, so only difference is that there isn't VALVE COIL on my. So I buy and install coil /connect on board connector/. I buy and remote control with heating option. So when I try to start heating mode, air conditioner just stop working. Can someone help me. Is there way to use it as heating pump? I try it when outdoor temperature was less than 20 census. Can some one find is there need to change indoor board?

The indoor control PCB will not work in heating mode as it has not been programmed to.
To complete your conversion from cooling only to heat pump, you need to replace both indoor and outdoor PCB's to the type found in FTXS and RXS units

Thank you! Can I find information about PCB numbers for indoor /FTKS... and FTXS.../ and outdoor /RKS... and RXS.../? I think that PCB for outdoor unit will be the same. Can anyone check it? Where?

I found that it needs to change software, to enable heating option. How to do it?

Are you sure you bought a FTKS20D3VMW/RKS20E2V1B?
Based on the latest systems available (FTXS J series) the smallest FTKS / RKS high wall system is a size 25 – not a size 20.

The size 20 is only available as a heat pump e.g. FTKS25 / RXS25.
The Daikin RKS model outdoor units are cooling only i.e. they do not have a reversing valve so they cannot operate as a reverse cycle heat pump. Daikin are one of the only manufacturers still offering cooling only models of small capacity split systems.
RXS outdoor models are heat pumps & have a reversing valve & (I think) an accumulator. There may also be other differences between the two outdoor units e.g. outdoor coils.
IMO it would not be cost effectve to try & convert the RKS to a heat pump.

Yes it is and my have reversing valve. This is manual for ftks and ftxs:

I've put outdoor coil, but nothing happen. If you have any ideas...

This manual is for a multi system (4MXS outdoor units) which are all heat pump type - not for the 1 to 1 system system you have. I re-stat my earlier comment - if you have a RKS model outdoor unit it is a cooling only model & therefore it cannot operate in heating mode.

RKS = Cooling only operation outdoor unit
RXS = Heat Pump outdoor unit (cooling or heating operation).

The FTXS high wall indoor units can operate on either outdoor unit.

Hi, I know that FTKS/RKS is cooling only model, but I'm trying to enable heating option.

Not possible.
The RKS outdoor unit does not have a reversing valve. For heat Pump operation you need the RXS outdoor unit.
It will not be cost effective to try an convert the RKS to a RXS - unless you are an experienced & qualified A/C or refrigeration engineer. Cheaper be buy a new outdoor unit or, a complete new system & have it installed by a professional.
This is what happens when you buy dodgy stuff off Fleabay.

Actually RKS have four way valve. So I install only coil /connect it to outdoor pcb on Connector for four way valve coil/ and buy remote control with heating option. So when I turn it on on heating mode it is restart.

If both cooling and heating model have physicaly same PCB (indoor) you then probably need dump of micro controller of heating model and someone who has means and is willing to load (flash) that dump on your micro controller.
I don't think you need anything to do with outdoor PCB.

Check Russian forums for white goods. Maybe someone there has dump.
But, most likely, you will need to buy new set if you want heating. :D
