I need to add 7kg of additional gas to a r2 system what is the best way to put it in ??? Should i open valves and run up first or put it straight into pipework ???

Vac it down and lob it into the pipe work.
Open valves slowly when charged .
Any other additional gas can be flashed into the suction line.

normally you will get it all in=if the charge is calculated correctly but if not stick it in test cooling and throttle it into ur suction line

i am asuming the charge is correct because its been reclamied by someone and now ive been asked to a recharge the system now we have moved a fan coil , ive already put 10 kg back in but ran out of time to get final 6kg , was a bit unsure if running it short of 6kg would damage it

if i reclaim gas i use the reclaim rig to pump it back in,no loss then

u can open the valves and reclaim it all back into the system prior to running
