What's your experience? We need it in an application with 2 x 240V Unithé Hermétique compressors of 2HP

Hi Peter

have not seen/used them personally but like the idea they are plug and play
some can be a right pain setting up, so this would suit me nicely

I retro fitted a load of these to Danfoss ASHP units a while back .To comply with the SEI regs over here.
Nice and handy .
Although the ones supplied by Danfoss had been rebadged and were white. But thats definitely the same unit. Good piece of kit.
Cheers

Would this be suitable for low voltage situations?

I go to many dairy farms, where low voltage is a problem. The overloads keep tripping, capacitors blow up or read low. Causing wires to go brittle/melt just generally causing problems
and having to regurlarly go back to fix.

Has anyone used these kind of things on 5.5hp scrolls single phase, Currently we wire just a 70 micro farad capactitor, But as we all no they are not great starters. And intermidant breakers/overloads trip causing hassle.

Could do with a good solution, it would save them getting me out of bed at 5am.

Soft starters are a the best starting device for comressors.
easy on the supply net and helps the life span of the compressor.
