Hi,

Does anyone know of a european/uk unit book that contains the above, specifically for HVAC. Or even a website?

HVAC Equations, Data and Rules of Thumb by Arthur Bell looks very good but the units are American.

I've searched around with not much luck. There are a few books on Amazon but with bad reviews and nowhere near as intensive as the Arthurs Bells book.

Hello Jon,

This site is a must

The CIBSE guide also gives Rule of Thumb figures, although it is rather expensive...in my opinion.

NRS had a guide in the back of their AC brouchure.
Can't see it on the website so you might need to get a hard copy from the trade counter - look at the back after the troubleshooting section.

Cheers,
Andy.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I use engineering toolbox sometimes but I'm after a book really.

Chillerman, is that book european units and equations? It doesn't mention it on Amazon or a google search!

Are you looking for a European SI units book (kW for instance), or rather a UK units book (Btu for instance) ?

Hi chillerman,

SI units in the UK, now that amazes me hehe. All for the better I say, never got comfy with Btu and lb, nor TR for that matter, but then again, i'm not english.

For the HVAC I would say Recknagel ... http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/3486264508/ref=br_lf_/302-2218374-6987245. It is however in German ...
