i used to use other social network sites-naming no names but i think i am becoming addicted to RE!! As soon as i get home,i shovel me tea down and im hooked!!
Searching threads,replying and messaging,i ignore the wife waffling on about soaps,the kids are running riot and the only time im off here is whenni go to bed!!!!
Is there any type of help out there or do i continue to go on this site?i think it will get worse too, im building a shelf to fit me mrs so i can check for updates whilst on the job!!!!,might have to armaflex sheet it to stop vibration wobbling the screen!!!

but what did I do yesterday... bought a net book and mobile internet for work

so I dont miss nothing ... there should a cure or control measure brought out soon

I.M. Good to see someone else has the same addiction :rolleyes:. Wasn't game to say anything about my illness incase someone thought i was stupid ;). So, maybe we can set up an R.E. rehab clinic or something. What's that!... Thought i heard sounds of disapproval somewhere? How was your day? Hmm, started by switching on computer, went to R.E., moved on to phone calls, back to R.E, more R.E., out to job #1, back to R.E,... and so forth :rolleyes:. Thankfully, i don't have a laptop otherwise i'd never get anything done. Sad situation, i know..

I think once we own up to having this problem we're on the slippery slope!
Congrats for realising u have an addiction,but as it is not realised in the medical profession but the closest symptom to this is called GEEKINESS!!!
By limiting time of access will just make us go get another laptop/notebook with an additional connection to double the access time!
CM had a bad case of it and now instead of vegetating infront of the pc eating spaghetti in his string vest whilst sitting in his soiled underwear(got a bit too carried away)
Has got a job lets see how this affects his ailment!
Until then keep taking the blue pill (others are available)

You really think the blue pill will help? Somehow i feel i should just just take the red pill and go back to getting a good nights sleep. Besides, this Friday afternoon, school's out for two weeks, again, and i,ve got the young ones at home causing all sorts of havoc :rolleyes:. As my missus works away from home, i now have extra cooking and washing to do, not that i really mind, just.. i won't be able to spend as much time here :eek:. The 13 Y.O. will want to confiscate my computer for hours of chatting to her friends on Facebook or Twitter.. Mike.

i have the same problem-me daughter also 13 deletes me manuals and install pics for playing the sims,roblox and other crap,also does her homework and saves it in my documents!!!the lad has his own pc in his room so im safe there-he just goes on porn sites!!haha taking 2 blue pills as i missed 1 yesterday!!

Ha, when i searching for pics off me camera, i have to wade through all the extras, photo's of her friends, dogs, cats, birds, fish etc :rolleyes:. Her cousin won't be here these holidays as she is going to Vietnam with her parents. This means more time on computer chatting to her no doubt. Less time for ME!

the newer generation are buggers for technology,they guess your passwords,move folders and take over ur pc-you buy them 1 to stop viewing 300 pics of ur pet hamster.and they dont use it.they know that your processor and memory configuration is far superior to theirs and they use it as a door stop.
also its no good to you as all your manuals are elsewhere.also you cant fob them off with board games or money!
not to mention them posting gay/sarcastic comments on your social network sites

hahahahahahahaha have just seen this :) i know bit slow but i was very busy at weekend managed to stay off here for over 12hrs i impressed myself but i do check in morning to see if owt interesting has been put on and since i working on a site that has excelent 3g i peruse it during day just to see wots going on cos i get bored polishing aircon ya can only rub it so much before paint comes off lol :) if u get yr young ones an ipod touch they can go on internet through wireless and do all there facebooking and other stuff worked for me its great i do most of my web browsing on my phone would be lost without it :)

As for work...my new netbook and hsdpa mobile internet will ensure, I get a regular fix

My pills are Red... taken only when given an headache - nurofen + have consumed plenty of late !!

got daughter an i pod 18mth aho now she's crowbarred an i pad out of us,it wont be long till its a touchscren pc!!! im gonna have to do more overtime!!! also i go on re on mr iphone at work-a quick fix when i get a spare 30mins!! or when its potty time!-multitasking is the way forward!!:D

I like fixing things and learning how things work, so when i've run out of real things to fix or the phone hasn't rung i can attempt to fix things on here instead!

I've learnt loads of stuff from the knowledgeable people here and as i work mostly on my own it keeps me up to speed with the industry.

I think it motivates me to do a better job too as i try to keep up to a standard that people here would be happy with, its easy to get jaded when all you see is cheap rubbish poorly installed for whiney customers, so stopping by here stops me getting lazy or feeling like cutting corners.

You guys all have it good, I don't even own a computer, can't type, get kicked out of bed every morning before I go to sleep, walk to work up hill both ways, licking the road to keep it clean. I think its pretty much all of the above, ignore the wife and kids,have a laugh,share a little learn a lot.
But what i enjoy the most is the little things you pick up about trouble shooting, things that others drop into thread which are so simple you wonder why you never thought of it before.
Then you tell anyone who will listen you thought of it:p
