I have a Phillips Anhydrator to remove water from my system.
It uses liquid from the receiver to heat the vessel, has anyone used hot gas instead in the same unit. (what results).
Im also interested in trying to use my oil pots to a simmilar effect but I'm not sure of the right way about doing this. One suggestion was to closely wrap heat trace around the pot and trickle feed the Ammonia in with the vent just cracked to allow varpour to escape back into the drum. Any ideas ??

prj564,
We normally just use an oil pot type vessel with heaters installed in a pocket c/w t/sat.
Best not to heat it to quick as you only want vapour venting back into system.
Fill it up, close liquid in off, turn on heaters & vent gas only, then drain remainder.
Keep doing this depending on what water is in ammonia of course.

Note only used on low/high temp accumulators, not liquid reciever.
