hi all,
we want to test the evap of a domestic refrigerator. the evap is made of aluminum and the distance its two fins is 5 mm. we want to place our thermocouples into this evap by drilling of this evap pipe. our aim is here to place the thermocouples where it can contact the refrigerant clearly. how can we place these thermocouples between fins distance 5 mm? by the way evap pipe internal diameter is 8 mm.

you will have to do it with manufacturer. There is just not enough space in the tube for a thermocouple,[it will block the refrigerant flow]. The nanufactorer can help you with that.

How do you think to seal the hole? you can not braze a thermocouple!

hi chemi-cool,
thank you for your interest. we thought sealing is no matter. we will do it a special epoxy bonding. we planned to submerge the thermocouple into the pipe as half of its diameter (4 mm) and it wont affect the whole system too much (10%<). what is nanufactorer? I have never heard it before.

Manufacturer is the company that design and build the refrigerator
