Hello,

We ve just had a A.H.U. installation with a downflow configuration with raised floor.

After installing the unit, and during commissioning, when turn it on we have noticed condensation driping from the Drain Pan.
I may have to mention here that the raised floor has not yet being installed. Condensation maybe relevant to this? (i.e. air turbulance?)

Any advice welcome.

thanks

hi zenen,
is the drip tray piped up? is there a pee trap on the vertical pipework? is the air volume making the condence water splash over the drip tray? is it condenceation on the drip tray , or is it leaking ?
happy hunting = sedgy

Assuming unit is level, a p-trap must be correctly installed to ensure water flow out of condensate pan.

check the air velocity leaving the coil,if it exceeds 1.8 m/s in ANY place condensate will carry over.Fan speed & proximity to coil can influence this; good luck!

air volume making the condence water splash over the drip tray, i believe was the problem. After the raised floor installed we have no condensation problems.

thanks everyone

zenen,I apologise for hijacking your post.I'm new to this forum(and forums as a whole) flares have nothing to do with condensation in this case, and i should continuue in the chat area, glad to hear you resolved your issue.
Cheers,FFN

Condensation occurs on flare nuts too!!!

Are you prejudice against flare nuts??? They need love too! And sometimes some condensation.
