Hi

A couple of questions re split A C

What type of cable do you use for the interconnecting cable.
I have used lots of different types, but mainly Sy.

If you use SY do you or should you earth the braiding??
I normally do, and some times it can be a right pain!!

Every conductive part of any electrical system that is not part of the power/control circuit should be earthed

Depends on what cable size you run I guess!

We use 1.5m 4 core for all splits.

sy cable can be used outdoors if it is uv rated. u could use triple and earth and run it in kopex outside,
steel wired armoured is cheap but takes time to make ends off,fp200 is quick but expensive. about £240 for 100mtr of pirelli, ventcroft do fp200 at about £80 but its sh*t! normally it depends on the site, commercial sites swa, house bashing triple and earth or sy
