How to find out the what type of gas is in a compressor?

i had a complaint where there was a display unit where the gas amount was low and it doesnt mention the type of gas inside the compressor. how do i find what type of gas is inside the compressor

Contact the company with Model and serial number.

Compressor model number will often give refrigerant type, though it may be part of the code, so will need looking up.

How has the missing refrigerant gotten out of the system??? This is the most important question!
