Just got this snake box up and running:). Cell phone with auto answer connected to electronics that reads DTMF tones (buttons being pressed at other end) ja sends control commands to heat pump.

Just a basic setup: Power on/off. Mode heating/auto/cooling. Temperature 16-31. Everything else is static at the moment but there seems to be plenty of free code space left in electronics to develop more controls.

Cell phone keymap of control:
1: Power ON
4: Power OFF
2: Mode->Heating
5: Mode->Auto
8: Mode->Cooling
3: +1C temp
6: +22C fixed
9: -1C temp
*: Excecute command (=send to heat pump)

Example if you want device on to heating mode and temperature set to 24C -> Call to GSM control and wait for it answer to your call. Then press 1-2-6-3-3.

It you then suddenly decide to cool room down to 21C, just press 8-9-9-9-* (or 8-6-9-*).

First impression this setup was so good that I think I have to get a nicer plastic enclosure for this puppy and let it run for ever... :)

I believe size could be reduzed to 1/4 of current setup. Shorter and better organized wires, smaller speaker, etc...

Schematic and Arduino code attached. This thing also tends to make you lazy :). Controlling pump from bed, livingroom... :p

i could not open the " pde" file

It is file format used by Arduino Software. Actually plain text so it can be renamed to .txt and open in any text editor.

No, did not touch any pcb.
