I purchased this detector new so that I could detect the R410a gas. The R410a gas was drastically reducing the sensor life on D-Tec detector. I got it in March of this year and on a leak search of what appeared to be an obvious leak it didn't pick up on till it was directly ON the leak for what appeared to be several seconds. I couldnt locate it till I actually heard it leaking. I was convinced the leak was in the area because of oil staining with dust mixed in. The tip fell off and is, God who knows where.... trying to get a part from the supply house was impossible I think because its new. Has anyone else bought one of these detectors????? How do you like it???

LD 5000 claim 0.05 oz/yr R-410A, so good on paper.
LD 5000 has only sensor but eyes, no ears. Most of the time, we found it by physical check not detector.
I hate to use this.
What I do it to use N2 and digital gauge to hold the pressure. At least work for me.
