I have a Carrier Supra 450 that starts and runs fine but when it goes on to slow speed (the correct RPM) and when the uint is switched off it will not stop! If I adjust the slow speed (too slow) it then will stop when switched off, but the revs will not increase when high speed is called for, the F.I.Pump leaver is pulled to max the stop leaver is in the run position but the revs will not increase from the too slow tick over but it will rev again once the unit is stopped and started. I suspect the F.I.P. is faulty does anyone know what the fault is and a cheap/quick cure, apart from fitting a new engine?
Its not a fuel, wiring or incorrect RPM fault.
