Whirlpool Compressor + fan stay off too long between cooling

I have a Whirlpool GB9SHKXLQ01. I just changed the compressor relay but I'm getting a strange result. The frige cools to optimal temp but then the compressor and fan stay off too long before kicking back in. The frige gets up to 8 or 9 degrees celcius before the compressor and fan get started. Once started it being the temp down to optimal, then the cycle starts over. Does this behaviour have anything to do with the new relay?

Well if you are sure that you fitted the right size relay to the compressor then you should turn your attention to thermostat control if its a mechanical stat then just replace if electronic then you should check out the sensors positioning or it could be faulty. Hopes this helps.
