Have a new customer with a very old building with historical importance. Has a ground floor area with non operational ac linked to a poor roof top location six big floors up. They are wanting new equipment at a lower level. I am wondering if their is a viable alternative without condensers to obscure the architecture. Loads prob 10 kW. Any suggestions welcomed.

Chuck it in the cellar. It'll keep the damp at bay.........and once the dust settles......

What about a hydronic unit (water cooled condensor), you can then locate where ever you want.

Great idea Mad
I was going to suggest that along with a mini chilled water system. If there is any requirement for hot water an additional unit (scroll) could be used to recover some heat reducing the size of condenser required.

Hitachi do an inverter unit with centrif fan for indoor mounting, just needs air in/out.

Premiair do a wall or floor mount which just needs 2 holes to exterior as well.
