Working on a system with R-134a 1/8H.P. compressor, bc 36x100, .086 OD, .036 ID.
One of the charts I used figured that it should be 92'' #5 = 7.66' but the
actual system has 10' of cap tube. it gave me the lenght for im guessing BC5 and
i think this system is inbetween BC1-2. What is the exact lenghth i need?
Single feed
Refrigerant-134A
Cap tube-.086 OD, .036ID
Temp range-Medium
Compressor H.P.-1/8

What is the length of cap tube? Is it 92'' or is it 120" and whats the #5
mean on the chart after the inches theres differnt #'s 1-5?

The different numbers are the capillary sizes, #1 is the smallest tube i.d., used on domestic freezes mainly. Basically, i've not found substitute cap. sizing charts to be spot on and had to use origional capillary length to measure what i need.. Mike.
