Hi. this isn't something I'm currently working on but something I'm just curious about. How would I take superheat readings on a system with more then 1 evaporator? I assume the evaporator pressure taken from the low side service valve will be used as the average saturation temperature of the evaporators, but then where would you take your individual suction line temperatures from? From the outlet of each evaporator?

If you need to take superheat readings, best is to run single unit one by one in test run mode.
I don't think you could able to read supper heat in simultaneous runs, I mean there are so many variables and keep changing. Commercial multi split such as VRV or VRF multi split have special feature to bypass and fix some values, so that you could able to adjust the refrigerant amount in simultaneous run.
