carrier xarios code/fault p22

this unit i am working on works fine problem is the red light flashes after its been running for 30 minutes,the code p22 is present no active alarm my understanding is 22 code is condensor fan not working but its operating fine cuts in and out no prob? am i missing something.:confused:

i dont think so because it works fine it only runs [the fan that is ]for 5 minutes until pressure drop but it could be that,will see it again tomorrow and will postl

if fan pulling to many amps will bring fault up or corrioson on pin terminals to brain

Hi Cadadwaldr one of the problems with the Carrier fan motors are that the brushes tend to stick in the motor, try removing the fan motor unscrew the black brush retaining caps, pull on the brush spring end plate and the brushes should slide in and out freely, if they do not fit a new set of brushes and brush holders.
suggest this is worth a try.

hi cad how did u go on with fault

its gone off the hot burner for the moment cos it will only pull -11 c the insulation looks like its not up to it,the fan motor works as it should?.
