I am just starting to work on supermarket racks and am having a problem with the low temp side of it. The suction pressure is running about 10 psig higher then it should, the medium temp side is running pretty much right on. All the temperatures are holding at steady and are fine. We have recently had a large leak in the system and it has been reparied. Also have replaced 2 txv's in two freezers, the refrigerant is 507. Wondering if someone could guide me in the right direction. If you need any more info let me know

Thanks

try pump testing the compressors, you may have a valve passing across the head!!

Hi Jsw,

Is this hussmann pack a compound pack, were ht discharge dumps into Low temp suction and discharge gas is cooled via the teat valve?

Cheers

No it is not. 3 compressors on the med temp side and 2 on the low temp side connected in parallel. The system has a surge reciever/vavle, an Parker A8 holdback valve, a parker A9 press regulator, heat reclaim valve, epr valves, etc.
