Heat pump water chillers have been around a while now and im just wondering what are your views on these pieces of equipment?
We installed 3 of these airwells last year and modified them, and find there a good bit of kit. If there is a issue we have 100% back up with 3 combi boilers aswell...

views people?

I think in the winter defrosting can be an issue if not set up correct.

I think in summer overheating can be an issue if not set up correct.

Reverse cycle, if the demand is needed for heating & cooling the compressor will run into a plate heat exchanger where it will condenser to liquid then hits TEV and into another heat exchanger to evaporate for chilled water.
If cooling only is required the discharge will be piped to a external condenser where it will come back in as a liquid expand etcc
if a only heating call the discharge will go into the PHE and then the liquid will be piped outside to a external (condenser/ Evaporator). Its a very clever bit of kit and these air wells are alot bigger than the pictures stu, they contain of 2 copelands
A good bit of kit

Any danger of a model number or link Luke.
Your asking for an opinion on unspecified equipment.
Not an Airwell fan you have peaked my curiosity now.:D
Cheers
