Hi all,

Just needs a leak check, vac and running up.

I feel i have underquoted but need some help as i saw on an irish site they want 1100 euro plus vat, by pm is good by me if you dont want to put prices up.

Its only 2 hrs work but still feel im getting robbed

2HRS work ! That's a bit on the optimistic side.
2HRS to connect,pressure test,vacuum,programme and commission a heat pump.
Bearing in mind a plumber ran in the pipe work, you probably won't achieve a sufficient level of vacuum in 2HRS never mind the rest!
Let us know how that work's out for you.
If you've priced for 2HRS you will be robbed
Cheers

What's to VAC and leak test on the Fridge side?

Mitsi Ecodans are self contained units as far as the fridge side of things go, the only pipework is a 1" BSP Flow & Return on the 'wet side' of the things to the outdoor unit.

Assuming a Spark has done the wiring of the FTC2 and any additional T/C and Stat then there's not a lot left to do to be honest?

Well spotted Sinewave
Had a bit of a brain drain earlier ,thinking about something completely different.
I have a pain in my arse going around bailing plumbers out at the moment hence the hasty response.
Carry on regardless and ignore previous comment:o

Commission what? Sounds like a bit of buck passing to me. Mitsi supplied it to him , he installed it , spark wired it up, Mitsi carry out site Quality checks, what does he need you for?

Well, by the book you'd be looking at a couple of hours on first day to perform initial pressure testing and strength testing up to 42bar or so then a further 24Hrs on a reduced pressure for leak testing.

Assuming that's all OK then it's another 1/2 day minimum for VAC and charging plus setting up and commissioning.
