What country are you from? I could give you details of our loacl suppliers but that will be no good if you are half way round the world.
Do you have any local wholesalers you could try?

Same here. Getting big in australia, and cheaper than other name brands.
I did warranty for them and after the inverters came out, hardly ever had any calls for breakdowns. Pre inverter models had indoor unit problems (fan motor, louvre, PCB), but after inverter models, only a few thermistors or outdoor PCBs, way less breakdowns that other big name brands. So when I started working for myself, I mainly installed panasonic and have never had a call back. Not the quietest unit though, if someone wanted quiet, I'd go mits.

Yeah, they are an option I quote for too, they are quieter. But pana are cheaper, very very reliable, and people like the looks better. But whenever people don't care about the looks, I put MHI forward and say it's quieter, plus easier for side entry if that needs to be done. But many people go for the pana for it's looks and I've never had a problem with the units anyway.

I tell people choose between looks and noise but both are decent units. But when pana is over $200 cheaper than mits, like right now, people go for pana.

Give Cool Designs Ltd a buzz, their prices are there or there abouts with HRP MHI prices. Split for split there is nowt in it. On a site with 10, there may be a little bit.......but as Paul says, the Panasonic are more of a looker.

The prices between MHI and pana wholesale are about the same here. To get cheap pana I have to walk into a retail shop where they are flogging them cheap depending on demand and season. Down here you have to check retailers for your splits as they are often cheaper than wholesale.
