A bit untidy but look like they will do the job, provided that the small diameter pipe is the suction line.

On small pipes like that I just wrap the pipe around a spare drier or other circular object.

Looks like they will do the job :)

I think what i'd have done is kicked the pipe up slightly on the horizontal tray, then dipped it down again right before the 90' bend up the wall but it would depend on how far the vertical section is up the wall.

yeah i see what you mean, it is 5/8 and 1/2 pipe suctions, done it with hydrolic benders, was hoping for them to be ALOT smaller :D

just thought i would share cause i dont get to do these much.. cheers guys

Might be easier to do a "p" trap at the start of the vertical on the bottom tray, have seen similar done in risers, keep going, you'll be fine!

Pressure drop pressure drop, try long radius bends like a circle loop. There is some theory about every so many metres vertical height separation.
Pressure drop equals loss in performance.

Would they have been better if they were smaller?

Possibly also, if you had formed the traps at 90° to the cable tray instead of in line with, then they might not stand out so much.

Hi Rotax.
despite what every one thinks is neat and tidy, looks cool and what ever. Do not forget the system performance. I have cut trombone double type p traps in suction risers, they looked very cool tight double bending in riser. Systems under performed something terrible. Like I said earlier "pressure drop. pressure drop ".
