I did a refit on a Carrier water chiller original charge of R22 was 350kg ended up charging with 700kg of mo29 also we were told by dupont that the original sunsio 3gs (mineral) oil would be fine but turned out it wasn't and had to change to emkrate 68 (ester) we did loose some capacity from the system but i would use it again as the chiller does not run too bad on it all in all i suppose every application is different in my case i had recip comps and remote condensers, what application are you planning on using it for?

well i am about to retrofit a carrier 5h120 recip set chiller with an R22 Turbocor compressor (so oil wont be much of an issue) Water cooled evap condenser. I am doing to retrofits in the near future and both machines are identical so it might be a good comparison test one on r22 one on mo29. Let the results speak for themselves.

There are a number of case histories posted on the DuPont website.
