Neil, try the Sporlan site http://www.sporlan.com and follow the links through - Technical - literature - download.

You want the section 100-Electronic Controls, there are two files you might like to start with:- 100-20-1 the actual valves themselves and SD252 on Sporlans controller.

Obviously this info is only for their products but it will give you a start; the rest of their site has a lot of worthwhile info on as well.
