Hello.
Have a problem with system stopping at lp when cold outdoor temp.
First of all the compressor and condensor is oversized, system designed for 4 walk in cold storage rooms. Today only 2 rooms are in operation.
The compressor only runs for a few minutes before stopping at lp.
To get system running i have to "force" it for about 5 min so the cond pressure builds up and getting liquid back from the condensor. This is only a problem with ambient temp below -20c and last week it has been about -25c -30c outside temp. Only the condensor is located outside with a one way valve on liquid line inside near accumaltor tank. The fans are pressure controled so they dont start at all when this cold.
Would a danfoss kvr solve this problem?

Thanks

hey ran ,
if its -30c ambiant why run macanical cooling when it would be a lot cheaper running a fan to outside
and have a air filter on an opening for air coming in ?
would be interested to hear your comments ? sedgy

accumulator to stop flood back to compressor (don't know how much that would help as I haven't ever seen ambients below +2C), and a time delay circuit to bypass LP?

at that low a ambient man thats cold you can fit a bypass valve on a timer and anything that creates heat suction accumulator heater crankheater etc

How many fans on the condenser and how many are running at this ambient?

Is there any pressure control for the fans?

HI
AS SAID BEFORE A FREECOOLING METHOD WOULD BE RECOMENDED!
but if you insist to work this way ,using a bypass would certinaly help at least at startup!!!
good luck
