We have a site where two RZQ100 condenser coils have failed less than 6 months past 3yr warranty

Has anyone else had issues with their condenser coils dated from 2007>

I know the earlier 2000's were poor but assumed they'd got past that..Aparently not

Cheers

Replaced 1 outdoor unit last summer due to above fault. The coil was leaking about the 4th pass from the bottom. I think the site got some form of Warren G out of it.
A few months later whilst doing a PPM at the site I noted oil around one of the top passes of another unit. Noted it but not sure what happened about it.

They don't make 'em like they used to.

yes , have replaced some on warranty( 1 or2) and some out of warranty.
my first alert to a outdoor coil problem can be oil dripping from the drain bung area underneath to the left of the compressor, they do not always do this .
people who do not have any maintanace may have a good breakdown on the way this summer, the leaks can be tiny and only found after moving the plate where the coils pass thru.
had a dakin wallmout 410a 10 or 12 kw leaking from the small capilleries behind the electrical box, found with a ultrasonic detector
