We are installing a hydro-carbon refrigeration system into a coldroom and require the above, can anyone tell me where to purchase such a thing?

Seems like a bit of an Oxymoron question

Pressure relief valves operate on pressure, not electricity, however, when this one vents, it will be releasing a highly flammable substance.
Can the outlet from an ordinary PRV valve be piped to a safe place?

Hi, Jorob :)

I believe you need a vacuum valve for freezer room with heater which must be intrinsically safe ...

please check this link http://www.fermod.com/products-list.php?zcat_nompage=pressure-relief-valves&zcat_id=4 (http://http//www.fermod.com/products-list.php?zcat_nompage=pressure-relief-valves&zcat_id=4)

... but if you need pressure relief valve for HC refrigerant ... all of them are pure mechanical devices and you need only to install outlet pipe into atmosphere, if!?! ....

Best regards, Josip :)

You will also need a full HC detector system for the cold room in the event of a leak etc.

Oh boy that's going to be a fun install and a fearful life for the operators.;)
