Hi all,
accidentally i have read that DIN1988(also the EU standard) doesn't allow the tap water heating in systems with certain refrigerants. I will try to bring some more data tomorrow next week.

Are there any regulations regarding this matter in ASHRAE

Haven't read the Standard but it seems that units are made for purpose...

I have checked...DIN doesnt allow direct connection of drinking water to the condenser unless particular refrigerants are used. Via heat exchanger is possible but than other regulations are also valid...
