Hi guys, I have a SB-190 thermoking unit. Yesterday I noticed that the seal of fan shaft assembly appeared to be a bit greasy. I'm wondering if this normal or I have a leakage of oil and it has to be replaced.

I would recommend you have seals replaced before it becomes much worse. This is the time to do it cheap.

Thank you very much for the advise! When i have a chance will disassemble it and replace the seals.

Wait too long and your cond fan blade will 'meat' your cond coil.

Wait till you price a cond coil.

don't worry about the small stuff !!

when the leak starts a oil patch around the area take action.

The outer seal can be replaced by removing the blower hub fan and keyway and removing the end cap replacing the seal insitu. the seal is available from bearing shops.

Thanks, for the good advice guys! I cleaned an area around it and will see if it leaks and how urgent is the replacement job. It's a slow season for reefers in january in USA, but in 2 month it will be crazy as usual. so want to be prepared for some work.

That's why you should do it now.
