Carrier Maxima

I have a 14 year old Carrier Maxima with two seperate problems.
The 'enter' button or the 'manual defrost' dont respond when pressed on controller.
I believe an overlay can be fitted - would this cure the problem - is it a big job?

Secondly, it recentlyl froze a load of vegetables.
It remains constantly set at +4c but when driver picked it up it was down at -17c. This only happened once.
Is this more likely to be a refrigeration or a controller problem?

If there is no response when you press it in most cases is to replace the keyboard and it is not a difficult thing to do.
Buy yourself a proper keyboard and replace it yourself.
