Hi all, how do I bend the pipes attached to the inside unit of a midwall split without cutting off the nuts on the end.

The springs that come attached don't cover the entire length of the pipes, so obviously the end part of the pipe can't be bent, or it will kink. The only way I can think of is to cut that end(thread for the flare nut) off and use a spring bender, then weld the pipes together..

Is there another way to bend them, so I can avoid the cutting and welding method?

Snip the spring close to the unit if you're happy with it as is, and slide the spring to the position you want the bend.
Job done..
Or use a benders with the back of the forming wheel against the back flare fitting. It's awkward but doable

You could also use a solid pvc internal tube bender, but they can break off and block the line.

I always cut the flares off and do weld joints. I often remove the springs when they are not being used and store them for use when needed. 20mm pvc spring bender fits nicely inside 3/4" pipe
