Hi.
Looking for some advice. Have a compressor failure ( L'unite Hermetique CAJ2432z) on a foster single door freezer. Customer has a compressor ( CAJ2446z) on site. Same pipe sizes and physical size. New compressor is 1/8hp more powerful than existing. Is it possible to install this more powerful compressor?
Thanks.

CAJ2446 has 43% more duty capability than your original.

Do you have fanned compressor cooling on this model?

It's not a fan cooled compressor, brian. Would this make a difference?

normally compressor replacement is based on displacement, type of expansion device. and application -low back pressure for freezers, medium for fridges
caj2432 18.3cm3 displacement 5/8 hp
caj2446 26.15cm3 displacement 3/4hp
low back pressure high start torque.
