Need help with Beverage air freezer>

I have an e series beverage air freeze ef48-1as 2 door reaching -in freezer. Recently not freezing the food. I noticed that Ice was built up in Evaporator and defrosted and clear out all the ice but when turn back on I don't see the evaporator fan running. Are the fans suppose to run the whole time? I not what could possible problem be...food get soft and unit does seem working.

Maybe the fan won't start until the coil has got cold to prevent blowing defrost water about.

I am not sure if the fans are suppose to run all the time or at the restart..aren't the fan suppose to run to circulate the air? Unit is not freezing though...all the food got soft and temperature is at 20 degree... Any advice

Fans will only run when fan delay thermostat closes on temperature, then switch off when defrost cycle engaged. Sounds like fan delay is not working or fans are faulty BUT you have to check compressor pressures as well to make sure evaporator is getting cold enough for fan delay to work.

a beverage chiller and you are freezing food. Or have I got the wrong end of the stick somehow.

sounds like combination defrost termination,fan delay switch is at fault.
