Is it possible to condense a gas only by adiabatic expansion ?????

Not the same gas that is expanding.

This is something like asking can I cool a gas by heating it? Or can I condense a gas by vaporising it?

You need to adiabatically expand something else that is in thermal contact with the gas you wish to condense.

Not quite true, but in standard refrigeration, is practically true.
Trans critical refrigeration does
