Hi Charlie, How come they are a pain? What are you experiencing with them?

discount nill i had a retail customer get the parts same cost as i could/ carriage price is high/ we have had bits we never ordered even when we email/fax it and wont take them back/ prices are all over the place have had 2x 2007 condensors go and daikin did not seem interrested, we have replaced them with another brand due to cost replacment. always liked the kit but it just seems if your not a d1 go away or we will supply you at higher cost. i understand that a main purchaser will always get priority and that i have no problem with but when a retail customer can purchase goods the same price as a trade customer something is wrong

Agree with what you say.

Incidentally, Daikin are offering online access to their spare parts selection tool SPB2, which sounds useful. Just need to register. Should save any uncertainty explaining which bearing you need etc if you can check it yourself directly. (Not tried it yet.)

I think you have to be D1 registered to use the SPB2.

Daikin is the same everywhere in the world it seems.
I gave up after 15min on hold today, parts expensive and still waiting for parts I ordered 10 days ago...

climate centre did not work well they where more expensive on the part but no carriage daikin wants 60 pound delivery for a condensor that is in stock in the uk... 60 pound delivery and its for a 2007 unit times the p and p and the coil adds up a new complete unit was only 275 more but enough is enough no more daikin installs for me

Not any more, apparently (I'm no D1'er and I'm in).

Jeez, the biggest problem with daikin sure is the local parts branch.
That outdoor PCB still hasn't come in. What a monumental waste of time at the cost of my reputation edit: and time on site and time tryng to get the parts!

Parts didn't come in for a week, resulting in the tenant just walking out. Landlord called for a "whats going on"
I couldn't give them and answer because I could never get through (three times on hold for over 15min before I gave up)
Landlord probably gave up on me, but I kept trying. Eventually got through, my parts were waiting on a desk for payment! Even though my purchase order had CC details in case there's any problems.
Refaxed the order over a week ago, still haven't got any parts, and there's no chance the landlord hasn't given up on me already as now it's been about 4 weeks. Stuff daikin! Not interested anymore.
