Looks like a discharge temperature sensor unit.

Oil level switch?

Given the location, I would have to agree. It seems to be in a perfect place to read the discharge temp.

I agree, although it looks like on the suction side, more than discharge port. May be a liquid injection solenoid?

Looks like a doohickey to me :D

Hi,
it's the position sensor for the secondary slide

Doesn't liquid injection get controlled by the power head for flow and oil temp for on/ off operation? Suction temp. is usually taken at the inlet valve just before or just after the suction check valve. It is definitely a temp. probe though.

Hi,
it's the position sensor for the secondary slide

Otherwise known as the Vi Indication Transmitter maybe?

Alot of questions on varios bits of equipment mori69!

What is the role of you?

yes, it's the Vi indicator positon
From Grasso instruction manual
2. Secondary slide
As special design, the compressors can be fitted with
an indicator system for the secondary slide.
The position of the secondary slide is picked up by a
second position sensor on the basis of hermetic
differential transformer (HDT) arranged on the wall of
the rotor casing; for types P through XA on the
female rotor side, for types XB through XF on the
male rotor side. The measuring signal is generated in
the same manner as already described for the primary
slide of types XB through XF.
The position sensor supplies between both end
positions of the secondary slide, i.e. depending on the
depth of HDT pin penetration, a standardized output
signal of 4.0 mA to 8.4 mA.
