hi folks just stripping down a carlyle compressor attached to the above chiller and im having problems removing the windings casing.
this maybe a stupid question but iv not got any manuals but do i need to remove the pullies as this seems to be trhe only thing holding the windings on the motor. that i can see anyway.

if any one has a manual for the overhaul of this compressor then u waould be a saviour.
thanks for looking folks.
await your reply.

cheers
matt

on this machine you have an 06n twin screw comp the tolerances on this comp and minute my honest advice is to contact carrier for a replacement i have seen a few rebuilt and all have failed in a short time period

Hi Matt.
Basically the rotor and stator are removed together with their housing.
After having removed the drive gear from the motor drive shaft.
As this requires the use of a special electrical heater (380F) and special puller using a hydraulic bottle jack.
etc.
I would recommend you discuss comp replacement with Carrier or a reman company.

Ps I assume you mean a HXC Chiller as opposed to a HCX?
