Hello

I have just moved house and our freezer was sent over in a van, we plugged it in and assumed it was still working. Checked yesterday and it had defrosted, checked the fuse and there was only a 5amp fuse in there (we think someone had changed the fuse between houses to pee us off).

I changed the fuse to a 13amp fuse and the light for boost comes on BUT the freezer isnt freezing at all.

would me plugging it in with a 5amp fuse has blown something.? or could it be something else.?

regards

5 amp woud be correct for the normal 5cu ft Norfrost, it's (it@s) likely had a fault and blown that hence light only now points to a compresssor/electrics fault.
Could be damp on the relay causing short.
