Hi I have just installed a puh-5yk runs, one hour or more
comes up with p8 on control panel and the LD6 blinking on outside unit. done all the obvious. LD6 shows a problem with 26c this diagram leads to a temperature plate on top of compressor. Compressor is very hot !!

is the compressor naffed?
is there an obvious problem?

I am a complete novice But my electrician fridgie tells me .Although very rare there are reed like valves inside the compressor that can become damaged and cause a refrigerant flow problem.

Any ideas ?

"ideas that don't work are better than none"
Thank you Bryan

Hot compressor = shortage of gas perhaps.

Was the installation straightforward?

Pressure test OK, evacuation successful, etc..

Thanks for reply
We evacuated refrigerant, evacuated any air/water. Re gas up to required amount. Still very hot compressor, cuts out with a p8 error inside and a blinking LED 6 outside, Air con work fine for a short period.

Opps no problem with install and pressure gauge recorded normal.
Thanks again

Correct refrigerant type?
Valves open on unit?
Correct volume of refrigerant for pipe length?
Air flow/filters and coils clean?

Was it a new system or a second hand one?
If second hand, did you see it run ok before?

Second Hand.Today I have had it running for 6 hours with no problem at 24c (32c and humid outside) compressor was warmish to touch with the fans kicking in and out as they should. I will drop the temp to 19 and see what happens.
