Hello everybody, i need some help.
I've been looking at a Samsung RVXVRT140GE DVM, conected to a Samsung RVXVRT120GE DVM.
When I arrived on site i was informed by the customer that the fan coils are running but only circulating air.
The condenser is showing an E-214 fault (MCU's not matching outdoor units PCB setting) The MCU dial switch is set to 5, with number of fan coils connected 20.
I hit the K3 switch on the condenser PCB to reset the system then let it go through its process, still E-214 appearing.
As this is a newish contract for us I went through the whole building and identified all the MCU's, I found the following:
3rd floor 4x units /1x MCU Set as No00-showing E214
2nd floor 5x units /1x MCU Set as No01-showing 65C8
1st floor 4x units /1x MCU Set as No02 -showing E214
1st floor 3x units /1x MCU Set as No03 -showing 67C8
Grd floor 4x units /1x MCU Set as No04 -showing E214
With the units showing the above the system will not run, the MCB's just seem to keep going through the setting up stages??
I decide to try to elimnate what i suspect are the faulty units, so i shut down MCU's 01 & 03, then reset the condenser PCB to 3 MCU's. The system goes through it cycle, i am then able to run the remaining 3 MCU's and the system runs ok.
From the above it seems that MCU's 01 & 03 PCB's are possibly faulty? This is the first Samsung ive worked on, seems a little strange that 2 PCB's would fail together.
Have any of you any experience on these Samsung RVXVRT140GE DVM, is there anything else I can try. I dont want to replace PCB's if I dont have to.
Also can anyone let me know what the 67C8 that the MCU is showing means.
Samsung technical seem very hard to get hold off, if you have a recommendation of someone I could talk to that would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance
